Highlights from the Michigan Occupational Therapy Association
Hello from the Michigan Occupational Therapy Association!
Dear Michigan OTs & OTAs,
Your engagement professionally through association membership allows our team of volunteers to support education, networking, and the integrity of our profession.
Our lobbyist and advocacy group work to continually review laws, proposals, and regulations that could impact our profession.
Our team of volunteers on our association assembly continually offer support to each of you through membership events and educational experiences.
I hope to see many of you in Grand Rapids for our annual conference.
Thank you

forward to hearing from these speakers again in-person. Additional licensure renewal
continuing education credits will be available for pain.
The conference will offer sessions and poster presentations on a variety of topics ranging from
pediatrics to geriatrics and from rehabilitation to mental health and everything in between.
There are special interest section meetings scheduled in breakout rooms with mini
presentations.
We will be offering exercise classes, welcome reception with awards ceremony,
silent auction, and alumni events.
We are planning to offer an array of exhibitors for additional learning opportunities. Come broaden your knowledge and connect with your peers!!!

Licensure Renewal Tips
Experiencing Glitches with the new MPLUS system?
- There is a glitch with the new system and many people may need to call and have it manually processed. People may need to call several times. People experince excellent service once they are able to get through to a live person, but it did take several calls. They hope to have the glitch fixed over the next few months.
- Another glitch consisted of signing up for the new system. When it came to adding your phone number it would not accept an area code. Entering a phone number without the area code worked!
