Reminder: Students are required to remain in the schedule selected for the duration of marking period 3. The next opportunity to switch placements will be at the start of marking period 4 (April 12).

- Important information for 8th grade parents:

  • Course selection packets were sent home with students on Wednesday, February 17. A reminder that students should return two copies of the high school course selection paperwork to their home base teacher by Monday, March 1.

Much of the information provided in the videos should help inform your decisions in the course selection process. Feeling tired of living under the weight of Covid and now non-stop winter weather? As a parent (or teacher or school counselor :) know you are not alone! It's common for all of us to feel some level of stress under so much continued change and uncertainty. Recently, one of our teachers shared this great resource with me for adults - the next time you find yourself feeling overwhelmed by daily frustrations (like constant changes in your schedule due to the weather, shoveling snow - again - or any other negative thought spiral), take 60 seconds to use Pixel Thoughts. By stopping to name your frustration, you can learn to reframe it into something more manageable, and begin to let it go. As I mentioned, this tool is best for adults - I hope it helps you when you find it difficult to turn that negative self-talk into something more positive.
