When: Thursday March 25, 2021 from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm.

How: As you know, student - parent - teacher conferences look differently this year. Instead of in-person meetings, we will be doing them virtually through Google Meet.

Focus: The focus of this year’s conferences is on connection. We want you, as parents / guardians, along with your child, to lead the conversation. It is a great opportunity to ask questions, seek clarification and to discuss learning strategies.

Who: We are hopeful that parents / guardians, along with their child, can be part of the Google Meet.

How: If you are interested in booking a conference appointment, you can reach out to your child’s teacher via email. You can access the ÉCKS Staff Directory here. The teacher will then provide you with a 10-minute time and schedule a Google Meet invite for the evening of March 25th, using your child’s school email address. We strongly encourage your child to be present in the conversation. If your child is unavailable or you wish to provide us with an alternate email address to join Google Meet, please discuss this with your child’s teacher. If Google Meet is not available to you, please inform your child’s teacher and alternate plans can be made.

Good Day ÉCKS parents,

Thank you to those who have returned their forms already. We want to remind you we need the order form returned to school and all payments completed by e-transfer, by March 15, 2021. The delivery date has been scheduled for March 23, 2021, and orders can be picked up from the main entrance of the school from 3:30 - 6:30.

(All payments for the orders must be made by e-transfer because of Covid-19. No cash or cheques will be accepted) The email to send money to is ckmusicparents@gmail.com .

It is very important that you indicate your child’s name in the email, and that it matches the order form. As mentioned, a copy of the order will be sent home with your child but we have also attached one electronically. If you have any questions, please reach out via email to ckmusicparents@gmail.com.

As you know, Covid-19 has impacted the ECKS Band program for the time being. In an effort to allow our musical students to keep up their hard-earned skills, and their general interest in band, Mr. Bailey is offering a virtual “Band Club”.

This group consists of students, who have previous experience in band, and who are interested in doing some individual playing in an online setting, and then sharing their sounds with Mr. Bailey. It is an extracurricular activity and the meet time is Tiersdays from 4:30 - 5:30. Please note that it is not a class, and there will be no evaluation, just a fun opportunity for playing and some helpful feedback from Mr. Bailey.

Mr. Bailey will provide music for the students to practice, and instruments can be arranged through the school for those students who do not have their own instrument.
