First Nine Week Happenings
We are about half way through our first nine weeks and our dyslexia groups have been working hard to review concepts both new and old. Students should be bringing BRAG Folders home daily and working on reading and/or handwriting. If your child happens to not have new papers for the day, it is great to work on words from previous lessons. It is a good idea to make a stack or folder of previous work to pull from and practice. My homework should not take over 5-10 minutes a night. It is important that you child practice reading at least 20 minutes per night. This can include library books, books from home, Learning Ally books, or books from their homeroom teacher. Please sit with your child and help them or take turns reading. Children with dyslexia have to see words 500-1,500 times before they commit to memory.
