He showed ingenuity and initiative by creating made-to-order Origami designs for classmates and staff. Funds raised went to support Wisconsin Ovarian Cancer Alliance. We are very proud of his efforts!
National History Day
Each year, National History Day frames students' research within a historical theme. The theme is chosen for broad application to world, national, or state history and its relevance to ancient history or to the more recent past. The 2021-2022 theme is Debate & Diplomacy: Successes, Failures, Consequences. Once a topic is chosen, students spend six weeks researching and preparing their final presentation. We were excited to recognize the students who moved on to the state competition!

Staff Salutes
This month several of our staff members were recognized for being an integral part of our school health services, who have shown dedication and hard work throughout the pandemic. Since the beginning of the pandemic, our HHASD team has been heroically serving our students, families, and staff by prioritizing their health and supporting their success.
Spotlights - Yes two!
This month, Sra. Pendzich prepared a presentation on the middle school Spanish program that was presented by Ms. Villalobos. She gave an overview of the programming, the interactive capabilities that allow the students to practice the Spanish language skills they are learning, and the various focuses that help create a comprehensive and immersive program for our students.
Later in the month, teams from FLES and RMS, shared an update on their continuous improvement school action plans. These presentations were thorough and discussed progress on student and staff engagement; academic growth and achievement; behavioral instruction, documentation, and rewards; and, the many community service opportunities available to our students and the return of several student and family events following a long pandemic.
