Class of 2022
Senior Bulletin
Quick Tips for Senior Success
Congratulations on making it to Senior year!
Before you start planning your graduation party, here are a few reminders:
- You will see a Senior Meeting added to your Class Connect schedule each month. Be sure to attend! This will be a time to meet with your counselor to discuss graduation and your future.
- You may want to get a job this year. Remember, SCHOOL comes FIRST! Don’t let your job keep you from being successful at school.
- Check that email address! Colleges/Employers do not want to see emails from bigdaddy@yahoo.com or hotpants@gmail.com! Create a new, professional email that contains your name and perhaps a set of numbers (ex: janedoe0299@yahoo.com).
- Advocate for yourself; don’t be afraid to ask for help!
- Start making plans now. That doesn’t mean you have to plan for college. Some students will choose to work, join the military, attend a community college, or attend a 4-year college. The most successful plan is the one that fits you and your goals.
- Take some time for self-care and personal growth.
- Make the most of your last year of high school- show some school spirit! Join us for school outings. Walk proudly across that stage at graduation! You earned this!
NCVA Graduation
- Information from Herff Jones regarding cap and gown orders will be shared in October.
- The counselors will send a survey this Fall and in the Spring to confirm your plans to attend the graduation ceremony- please respond!
- Cap and gown color is navy blue for students-tassels are included; NCVA will provide any honor cords earned.
- The graduation ceremony will be held on June 10th. We will send more details as they are confirmed.
- No tickets are required for the ceremony
- NCVA does not contract with anyone to do Senior photo sessions; this is up to families if they wish to have them done. We will have a staff member taking pictures at the graduation ceremony, and those will be available to purchase afterwards.
