Mission: The mission of the Rio Hondo Independent School District is to educate every student by creating an environment of high expectations, innovation, and strong partnerships.
From Mr. R's Desk
BOBCAT NATION,
Our ACTIVE SHOOTER LOCKDOWN DRILL was a success. As a reminder, we always need to be vigilant and prepared. Here are some quick points to follow:
- As you are securing your door, take a quick look in the hallway and roundup any student that may be in the hallway.
- Turn off all lights.
- Ensure that everyone is out of sight.
- Do not open the door to anyone.
- Get a count of your students and have a roster readily available.
If you have any questions, please get with administration and/or Chief Garza.
This week, we are scheduled to have EOC STAAR testing. This round of EOC testing is just for RETESTERS, not for students currently enrolled in those courses. If you have any questions, please contact us at 956-748-1200.
EOC STAAR TESTING REMINDERS FOR STUDENTS
- Get a good night’s rest.
- No cell phones or devices.
- Eat a healthy breakfast.
- Manage your time and stay on task.
- Students are not allowed to talk to one another while testing is in progress.
- Read directions, questions, and all answer choices carefully.
- Do your best!
