A Message to our Bears...
Primary Bears,
This year, our classes are working hard to collect compliments throughout the school for following school expectations. As classes collect compliments, they get a sticker on their 100s chart posted outside the classroom door. (Ask your child how many stickers his/her class has.) When our school collects 5 completed sticker charts, we will have a school wide dance party. We are getting close to dancing in the hallways! Great job Primary Bears!
This week, our campus nurses and volunteer nurses screened each PREK, Kinder, and 1st grader for vision and hearing. If a student didn't pass the vision and hearing, we will wait a few weeks, then circle back and screen again. (The student might have had an off day). Parents will be notified if their is a concern regarding vision and hearing. If you ever have questions, don't hesitate to reach out to our nurse team- their contact info is below! Great job Nurse Broadway and Nurse Forrest!
Happy Homecoming! Go Bears! Beat Sinton!
Sincerely,
Shelley Keck

Library Updates
First and Second Graders are doing a great job checking out two books that interest them and then returning them for more! Students are allowed to come check out books as soon as they finish reading what they have.
PreK and Kinder are now checking out books to read at home with Mom, Dad, and/or Grandparents! Kinder is doing a wonderful job using shelf-markers and singing the shelf-marker song. Ask them to sing it to you.
Tumblebooks ~ Look for a note home soon about this amazing ebook resource for our students at LVPS to use, even at home!
