Thank you to our amazing PTA for putting on a wonderful Scholarship Craft Fair last Saturday. A very special thank you to Callie Wells, Shana Ferrara, and Annie Sarbanis for their leadership in organizing, managing, and directing all the volunteers who made this event possible. It was lovely to see so many old friends, students, and families come together for this good cause. I'm guessing this was a success based on the fact that there were so many people in attendance, we ran out of the delicious lobster stew, all the pies were sold, AND our crafters reported doing well. I'm sure that the PTA will update us with the final numbers raised to go towards scholarships, once all the dust has settled!

Ms. Reed, Ms. Michaud, and PES kindergarten through fifth-grade students have been working extremely hard preparing for next week's concert. They can't wait to showcase their talents!

Here are a few important reminders:

*Students should "Dress to Impress," no specific attire is required.

*Students should go to their classrooms no earlier than 5:45, the concert begins at 6:00 PM.

If you would like to arrive early, we ask that children remain with their families until 5:45 as there will not be school staff available to monitor students before that time.

*Students will be dismissed to parents directly from the gym.

We look forward to seeing you all at the concert on Thursday, December 15th!

When your child has a change in his/her dismissal routine, please help us get your child home safely by sending a note or email to the teacher in advance. However, we recognize that plans may change quickly and sometimes often. Classroom teachers don't always have time to check their email during the day. If a change in plans occurs during school hours, please call or email Mrs. Doran at tdoran@rsu1.org before 2:30 PM. Avoiding late notice helps the staff, the bus driver, and most importantly, the students have a smooth transition at the end of the day.

Although the newsletter is now going home electronically, please continue to send the Thursday folders back on Friday so non-electronic items (pictures, flyers, books, notes, report cards, etc.) can still be sent home in the folder.

We will gratefully accept any donations of boxes of facial tissues, as they are always needed. Thank you.

After Saturday's craft fair, a teardrop shaped earring and a green net wreath wrapped with white ribbon were found. Please contact Mrs. Doran at 389-1514 if either are yours.

FREE Gingerbread House Decorating and Pizza Night

IF YOU SIGNED UP BY DECEMBER 1ST, remember Friday, December 9th, 6-7PM in the PES gym, we will be decorating gingerbread houses and snacking on pizza. Additional decorations will be available.

Letters to Santa

Santa always watches the Selectmen's meetings during the month of December to see if they are being naughty or nice. Our Selectmen want to be on Santa's nice list, so they thought it would be fun to read letters from the Town's children. Letters to Santa can be mailed to or dropped off at Phippsburg Town Hall, 1042 Main Rd. Tune in to the Phippsburg local cable channel on Wednesday evenings, starting at 5PM, to hear what the Phippsburg children have added to their Christmas wish lists.
