School will be closed

Due to the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday, school will be closed on Monday 1/16th. Please note that Tuesday 1/17th there will be NO early release day. Half day Kinders will dismiss at 11 am and all other students dismiss at 3 pm. There will be NO community school classes that afternoon.

Canyon View will be hosting their annual walk this day to Sabino Canyon. If you would like to participate please meet at Canyon View by 9 am.

Robotics

Mr. MC is instructing our 2nd graders in robotics. They are building a transportation system that they need to program so that passengers can get to different rides in the amusement park. They were analyzing their programming and making adjustments as needed to program it correctly.

Music

Mr.K is instructing our 4th graders on how to play a ukulele. The students were practicing playing 4 different chords in class after he modeled for them. They then all played in unison together.

Student Signing In/Out

We have a new electronic system for signing in late students or when you are picking up your child to leave early for the day. Parents will now need to come into the office to complete this procedure. Please do not drop off your child alone after 8:15 am, you will now need to walk them into the office. We thank you for your understanding.

Mileage Club 2023!

WE NEED YOUR HELP! Mileage club starts again TOMORROW Thursday, January 12th in the lower field. Come support the students as they set new running records! There are two volunteer shifts and the times of the actual runners are below:

Kindergarten: 11:00-11:35

4th,5th and Clark and Alexander’s Classes 12:15-12:35

1st, 2nd and Tobin and Lopez’s Classes 12:35-12:55

FAMILY SWEETHEART DANCE & SILENT AUCTION - FEBRUARY 10

Save the date as we bring back one of VV's favorite community events, the Family Sweetheart Dance!! Stay tuned for more information and ticket purchases. The Sweetheart Dance and Silent Auction teams are working hard to create an awesome night of Bobcat family fun!

We would love more volunteers to help us gather auction items and organize a fun silent auction event during the Family Sweetheart Dance. And/or if you provide a service, have an AirBnB or make interesting things and would like to donate it to our silent auction, we are gathering items now and deadline is January 31. Join us on campus next Thursday, January 19, 2023 @ 8:15 am after drop off to celebrate all that the Bobcats did in 2022 and start planning events for the remainder of the school year. Everyone is welcome!!
