Fashion Show

The Fashion show was a huge success with over 200 in attendance, 43 students with some additional models. Family, friends, and colleagues came to celebrate our culminating project and celebrate our students' hard work. A small team with the help of Ms. Brown from the Hospitality & Tourism program helped with our event planning to include creating invitations, program cover and formatting, music, setting up, refreshments and food for after the show.

Each first-year students made at minimum 1 garment, but most made multiple garments or accessories that they wore and modeled on the runway. Our second-year students made a mini collection with the equivalent of a minimum of 6 garments which translated into 2-4 whole looks that were modeled by other students and friends.

Criminal Justice Ceremony

Each year Criminal Justice has a ceremony to recognize accomplishments of CJ students throughout the year. During the ceremony our current leadership removes their pins and places them on the students that will be taking their place as our new leadership team. The new leadership takes over leading the classroom and organizing our many community service events. Congratulations to the incoming 2nd year Criminal Justice students!

Company Picnic

As we emulate industry, we celebrated our students with an end of the year company picnic. Programs presented industry certificates, competency certificates and special awards in the classroom and then they all came together to participate in fun and games around campus. The Army provided lunch and was prepared by our staff. Staff and students participated in activities like, tug of war, basketball, volleyball, corn hole, face painting, music, cotton candy, photo booth and a car show. Fun was had by all.

A Trip to Seattle

Hospitality & Tourism students road the train from Vancouver to King Station in Seattle. This was a first time experience for many students. They experienced a walking tour with lunch on the waterfront, rode the wheel and shopped for souvenirs. Stopped at the gum wall on the way to Pike Place Market and enjoyed a variety of cultural foods along the way. This trip gave the students a firsthand look of what a walking tour is all about and was a perfect end for the year.
