PBIS Theme: Responsibility, Respect, and Empathy Review
As we close the first half of another school year, it is our pleasure to reaffirm our commitment to creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment. At PES, we believe in the transformative power of Responsibility, Respect, and Empathy, and we are excited to embrace these core values throughout our school community.
Responsibility: Responsibility is the cornerstone of personal and academic growth. By encouraging a sense of accountability for our actions, we empower each student to take ownership of their learning journey. Together, we foster a community that values punctuality, diligence, and the understanding that each student plays a vital role in the success of our school.
Respect: Respect is the foundation of positive relationships and a harmonious school culture. At Pecatonica Elementary, we celebrate diversity and promote an environment where every individual is valued and treated with dignity. We believe that through respectful communication and understanding, we create a community where everyone feels welcome and supported.
Empathy: Empathy forms the heart of compassionate and caring communities. By cultivating empathy, we encourage our students to consider the feelings and perspectives of others. This not only reduces conflicts but also builds a sense of unity, compassion, and support among our students. As a community, we strive to foster a deep understanding of one another's experiences.
As we move into a new year, we invite every member of our PES family – students, parents, teachers, and staff – to actively embrace and embody these values. Together, let us create an environment where Responsibility, Respect, and Empathy are not just words but guiding principles that shape our interactions, decisions, and achievements.
Thank you for your commitment to making Pecatonica Elementary a place where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

First grade students created balloon "floats" and produce their very own Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. Please enjoy the parade from Mrs. DeLaGarza's class.
