Founders Day
On Tuesday, February 28th, the Huber Street School PTA hosted their annual Founders Day meeting. Laurie Cerny introduced a number of past presidents of the Huber Street School PTA. The Candle Lighting Ceremony followed, which led to the main event.
Led by Mrs. Frank, Mrs. Viggiani, Ms. O'Hara, Ms. Choj, and Ms. Baralt, our 1st graders performed for the packed house. Check out the video below to see our Bears using sign language and singing.
PTA Harlem Wizards Assembly
The PTA Harlem Wizards WizFit Challenge came to a conclusion on Friday, February 17th. DP and Big J from the Wizards came to Huber Street School and helped the students get fit and have some fun.
Thank you to our PTA for organizing this amazing event. The children had a BLAST! Thanks to the entire Huber Street extended community, we raised over $14,000 for our school.
The top two earning classes (that won a field trip to the park) are Ms. Choj's 1st grade class and Mrs. Lopena's 4th grade class. The top earning student is Reagan Gootee from Mrs. Hanrahan's 2nd grade class. Reagan will be serving as Principal-for-the-Day with Mr. Valente!
