Principal's Message
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
As we head into this extended Thanksgiving Break, I want to share with you how grateful I am to be a part of this community and to spend my days with your children- supporting them to learn, grow, and be the best that they can be. At Eagle Crest we also have a fabulous staff and I am grateful to work with such a dynamic team, who come to our school each day, ready to impact the lives of our students.
Every morning at Eagle Crest we share our school leadership pledge, “We are leaders. We help build a better world,” and I know that together with your partnership we are working towards that goal.
I hope you have a wonderful break with plenty of time for family, rest, and enjoying this wintry weather!
Warmly,
Amanda

Dean of Students' Message
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
As you may have noticed, we sent home all of our iPads this week. Weather in Colorado can be unpredictable, and when the weather is forecasted for snow we will send iPads home in case there is Online Learning Day the following day. Typically most teachers will keep iPads at school to ensure they are here, charged, and ready for learning. This also helps to keep them accounted for and free from damage that may occur traveling back and forth from school.
If an Online Learning Day is called, you will be informed via email, phone, and probably text message depending on your personal settings in Infinite Campus. You can also check local news channels or the SVVSD website.
You can also expect an email from your child's teacher confirming the schedule and expectations for the day. Preschool, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade students will have online learning activities. Kindergarten and 1st Grade students will complete these on our learning platform, Seesaw. Students in 2nd and 3rd Grade will meet with their classroom teachers on Webex at 9:00am and will complete activities on Seesaw, as well. Students in 4th and 5th Grade will meet with their teachers on Webex at 9:00am and will complete activities on their learning platform, Schoology. More information about accessing our learning platforms, Seesaw, Schoology, and Webex is also available for your reference.
All Kindergarten through 5th Grade classes do take attendance on Online Learning Days. If for any reason your child is unable to participate, please send an email to our Attendance Clerk, Dinah Sherwood (sherwood_dinah@svvsd.org), to excuse their absence. You can learn more about Online Learning Days on the SVVSD Inclement Weather information page.
Hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving Break!
All the best,
Lindsey Cheney

Mwebaza Update - Spirit Day on 11/18
TOMORROW, November 18th, is PJ and Stuffy Day!
This is a fundraiser for our sister school in Uganda.
The Mwebaza Annex Club is inviting all students to wear their PJ’s to school and bring a stuffy that can fit in their backpacks. Students should also wear regular shoes so they can participate in recess and all activities. All funds raised will go to a new library project that we plan to start in 2023 at Mwebaza Annex School. Eagle Crest students can donate as much or as little as they want to. All students can participate with or without a donation. Classroom teaches will collect the donations that day.
Thank you for your support of our partnership with Mwebaza Annex School!
Meet our Staff
Job Opportunity - Preschool Paraprofessional
We have an opening for a Preschool Paraeducator in our wonderful Pre-K classroom. This could be a perfect fit for a parent or family member looking to work the same hours as their child’s schedule at school. We are looking for a thoughtful, kind, caring adult, who has a lot of patience, a heart for small children, and a commitment to public education. If this sounds like you, please reach out and check the job posting on the SVVSD website!

Job Opportunity - New Campus Supervisor Position
The safety of our school environments has always been a top priority in St. Vrain Valley Schools. As the district continues to invest in security upgrades, mental health resources, counselors, and other supports to ensure the well-being and success of our students, we are excited to share that a new Campus Supervisor position will be provided to all elementary schools in the district.
Currently at all middle and high schools in St. Vrain, Campus Supervisors promote safe and secure learning environments for students by providing an additional layer of facility monitoring, oversight, and communication regarding any potential risks or safety concerns. These roles also play an important part in fostering a positive building environment by building relationships with students and serving as another trusted adult in the building.
If you or someone you know is interested in applying for one of these 26 new positions, a job description and application can be accessed starting Monday, October 31 at https://www.applitrack.com/stvrain/onlineapp/default.aspx?Category=Security.
Job Opportunity - Guest Teacher
A Guest, or Substitute Teacher, teaches and supervises students in the event that their regular teacher is unable to lead class. Our Guest Teachers enjoy working within a positive culture among a group of passionate and caring professionals who are all working to support student success. If you are interested in joining one of the most highly effective and supportive teams of professionals in the country, please apply using the link below and look for the "Substitute Teaching" vacancy to start your application.
Lunch Menu & Color Day Schedule
See below for the November Lunch & Specials schedule!
Our Music, PE, and Art classes are on a 3 day rotation. Every school day is either a Red, Gold, or Purple day. These colors are shared on our school lunch menu to help families plan ahead for necessary supplies like sneakers for PE.
Add Money to your Child’s School Breakfast & Lunch Account
MySchoolBucks is the website you want to access in order to add funds to your child’s account for purchasing breakfast, lunch, or milk at school. This system will send you reminders and can manage the account of multiple students. Money can also be sent to school by check or cash. Please label any checks or cash with the students first name, last name, and teacher.
If you haven’t yet, you can apply for Free & Reduced meals to see if your family qualifies for free meals. Applying for Free & Reduced lunch will help manage fees (like iPad Insurance or sports) and also helps our school receive additional funds and services. We encourage all families to complete the application.
