Holy Cross was a very popular place this week. Dr. Lorenzo Rizzi, Associate Superintendent of Student Services, and Mrs. Felicia Holcombs, Consultant for Marketing and Enrollment, came to hear about all the wonderful work happening at Holy Cross. Additionally, over 20 Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) Board Members including Archbishop Naumann and Dr. Cascone held their meeting in our school library. Before their meeting began, I was able to give everyone a tour of our building and presented to them the state of our school. The excitement and feedback I received were so wonderful to hear. We have been able to achieve so much in such a short amount of time.

Archbishop Naumann communicated to Fr. Oswaldo that he was very impressed with all Holy Cross has in place and was excited about all that we are accomplishing. It is time to celebrate and congratulate ourselves on a job well done. My heart is filled with gratitude and pride. Holy Cross is an amazing community. 1 Corinthians 12:14 explains it well, "Now the body is not a single part, but many." Holy Cross School and parish are doing great things...together!

Grades 3-8 Adoration

Our theme this year is "Follow the Son" which is in alignment with the Archdiocesan call for Eucharistic Amazement. We are going to allow more time this year for Adoration so students can continue to build their relationship with Jesus. Fr. Oswaldo did a wonderful job explaining the importance of Adoration. He invited the students to come to the chapel any time they wanted to be with Jesus. He even gave them all the code to the chapel. You should ask them if they remember. It was a beautiful time together and I look forward to having more time for Adoration in the future.

Virtus Training Online Deadline

Remember that in 3 days on Monday, September 19, individuals who want to volunteer at the school including chaperoning field trips will no longer be able to complete the Virtus training requirement using the online module. All participants, including those who have already registered for the online module, will need to find a live session to attend.

Parent School Safety Information Night

Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 7:00pm in Pflumm Hall

Students whose parents attend will receive Herbie High Fives for the store's 22-23 Grand Opening on Thursday, September 22.

Morning Drop Off

In order to keep everyone safe, we ask that no cars park in the middle of the parking lot and walk their children into school moving forward. It causes congestion in the carline as well and we are worried about the safety of those walking across the parking lot into the building. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
