Tahquitz Class Registration

During the months of February, March and April, counselors will be working with students to select classes for the 2021-2022 school year. Counselors will be doing classroom presentations in all English classes to give an overview of class offerings, A-G requirements and credit recovery options. During March and April, counselors will schedule 1 on 1 Google Meets with all students to review class selections, answer questions and complete summer school enrollment.

From February 1st through February 28th students are able to make changes to their course requests in the Aeries portal. We encourage students to review their course requests with their families during this time. If parents would like to attend the 1 on 1 counselor meeting, please email your student's counselor and we will add you to the Google Meet invitation.

February 1st - February 12th - Counselor virtual presentations in English classes

February 1st - February 28th - Students can make changes in Aeries to course requests by selecting "Course Request Entry," under "Classes" in Aeries

March 1st - April 30th - 1 on 1 Meetings with Counselors (Counselors will send Google Meet invitations to student email)

All freshmen at Tahquitz are in the Building Assets, Reducing Risks program (BARR). The BARR program helps provide supports to all our freshmen to help with their transition from middle school to high school. Our program consists of the BARR Coordinator, BARR (9th Grade) Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), and freshmen teachers. Students have a teacher assigned to them to check grades and attendance on a regular basis, and the entire BARR team works with students to help them with high school life. The Course Selection Sheets below can be used to help students select courses for next year. All classes will be reviewed during Class Registration Presentations from 2/1-2/12. The THS Course Catalog, also linked below, provides course descriptions.

Please see the photos below to help navigate to "Course Request Entry" in your Aeries Student Portal. Please make sure to be logged into Aeries using your HUSD student gmail account.

Depending on class availability, students may not be enrolled in their first elective choices. We ask that all students select 2nd, 3rd and 4th choice electives by completing the Google form below.
