Congratulations to our 23-24 Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Lorrin Hernandez! Mrs. Hernandez currently serves as part of the Felicita Intervention Team. She helps numerous children learn how to read and write, and absolutely deserves this honor! Thank you for all you do, Mrs. Hernandez! 👏

The ELPAC state assessment is here! Please see this informational letter 2023-24 Summative ELPAC Parent Notification Letter from Superintendent, Dr. Ibarra. Testing will be done by your child's ELD teacher with the one-on-one portion conducted by EUSD district testers. This assessment is an important part of your child earning reclassification status. Please encourage your child to eat a good breakfast, ensure they get a good night of sleep, and help get them to school on time. Attendance is always critical, but especially during testing days.

K-2 testing is done one-on-one by a district tester following the completion of grades 3-5. The tester will begin pulling K-2 students as early as mid week next week.

Attendance matters! It is the first way you can help your child succeed in school. Please read the attached letter on the importance of attendance:

-Reminder that our school gates open and supervision starts at 7:40 AM. Please do not drop off your child until then, unless they are in a before school program.

-All visitor's must sign in at the office and wear a visitor's badge at all times.

-Kindergarten parents, please park and walk your child to and from the gate to ensure their safety.

Please provide your important on our district LCAP goals. Your voice is important! The new rescheduled date is Thursday, February 27, at 6:00 PM at Bear Valley Middle School.

Our Panda Express Restaurant Night is just around the corner. On Wednesday, February 28th from 9:30 AM-10:00 PM, invite your neighbors, classmates, and friends for a feast that supports our school. Bring the attached flyer to the Panda Express on 415 W. Felicita Ave. We can't wait to see you there!

This week in PE, the Bobcat Athletes have been focusing on passing the basketball. They learned the bounce and chest pass. The athletes also learned about the heart and its functions in the body. Did you know that it only takes 20 seconds for your blood to circulate through your whole body?
