Halfway to Earth Day: Chasing Ice
The Green Lens Environmental Film Festival presents
Chasing Ice
Free Screening and Discussion
7:30 PM on Tuesday, October 22 at NIU’s Montgomery Hall Auditorium
Join us in celebrating Halfway to Earth Day with a free screening of the award-winning documentary Chasing Ice. The film uses time-lapse photography and video to vividly portray the story of Earth’s changing climate. The filmmaker’s goal was to deliver “evidence and hope for our carbon-powered planet.”
After the film Ross Powell, from NIU’s department of Geology and Environmental Geosciences, will lead a discussion of the film and share his own research on Antarctica and climate change.
This event is free and open to the public.
Sponsored by NIU Outreach, the Institute for the Study of the Environment, Sustainability & Energy, and Kohl’s Cares.
