How download Aadhar Card?
Aadhaar is a 12 digit Identity code provided to each Indian by the UIDAI, based on your demographic and biometric data. Although not mandatory, it is essential to have it as the list of services where aadhaar is required is increasing. It is necessary for Aadhaar to be linked to your bank accounts, mobile number and to issue a PAN Card. By now, almost everyone has received his/ her Aadhaar Card but if you haven’t what can you do?
Firstly, it is important to enroll yourself and submit your fingerprints and retina scan in your closest Aadhaar Centre. After you have done that you will receive your aadhaar card by post. But if you don’t receive it you can always download it.
How to go about it?
First, log in to www.uidai.gov.in , which is the official website for getting an Aadhaar Card. Next, you have to click on the ‘Download Aadhaar’ option in ‘Aadhaar Online Services’. You will be directed to a page where you have to enter your 12 digit enrolment number provided on the acknowledgment slip or you can also enter your Aadhaar number. Next, enter other required details mentioned, that are your name, mobile number, pin code and captcha. Once done, click on ‘Get One-Time Password’ option. A pop-up with the last four digits of your number will confirm your mobile number. An OTP will be messaged to you on the number you have provided. So, make sure it is the right one. Enter the OTP correctly. You will be provided 10-15 seconds to do so. Then, click on ‘Validate & Download’ option. A PDF file will be downloaded on your computer. This PDF is password protected. Your password is the first 4-digits of your name and your birth year in YYYY format.
But, what will you do if you have misplaced your Aadhaar Card or your Enrolment Number?
Well, it is quite possible that you might misplace your Aadhaar Card. With the increasing uses o aadhaar Card, this can prove to be quite a trouble. But not to worry, you can always download a duplicate copy of your Aadhaar Card from the UIDAI official website.
Log in to www.uidai.gov.in and click on ‘Retrieve UID/EID’ option under ‘ Get Aadhaar Online Services’. You will be redirected to another page. Fill in the required details as mentioned on the page. That will be your name, pin code, email id, and mobile number. You also have to choose whether you have to retrieve you Aadhaar Number or your Enrolment Number. Once this is done, click on ‘Send One Time Password’. You will receive your OTP on your email id or on your mobile number. Enter the OTP to verify and confirm your mobile number. Once, it has been verified, your Aadhaar Number will be sent to you. Use this Aadhaar /Enrolment number to download Aadhaar Card.
