Nominate the 2019 Jackson Educator of the Year
The PTO sponsors the annual Jackson Educator of the Year Award. This award is given to a Jackson Elementary employee who exemplifies an outstanding commitment to our students, staff and community.
Parents and staff are able to submit nominations for the award. The winner is selected by the JPTO board from those nominations. Nominations can be submitted using this form and are due by May 24th. We encourage you to nominate one of our awesome staff members for this prestigious award!

We had a lot exciting events over the last couple of weeks, and they could not have been so successful without the help of our amazing parents. The JPTO appreciates your help and commitment to our staff, students, and school!
A well-deserved THANK YOU goes out to all the volunteers who helped make our Spring Book Fair a success! Our volunteers worked to make sure the Book Fair was set up properly, helped students find and choose appropriate books, and made sure that our school was provided with new and exciting books. This Book Fair wouldn’t have been possible without the support from Jeanne Schmit, Kim Tarpinian, Chelsea Davis, Robin Ryan, Angela Ibarra, Lesley Fletcher, Anne Bingham, Sarah Sires, Cory Livingood, Tracy Kleppe, Katye Chesbrough, and Melissa & Jamey Schaetzel.
Huge THANKS to the many volunteers who worked so hard to put on this year’s amazing Jackson Carnival! Jen Fisher and Thao Fazio are our Chairs for this committee, and worked for months to coordinate volunteers, prepare co-chairs, and plan all the details. Thanks to our many co-chairs-Wendy Tremaine, Stephanie Olson, Kimberly Byrne, Chelsea Davis, Lesley Fletcher, Mandy Soman, Karla Brekke, Jennifer Kiefer, Jeanne Schmit, Christine Lehrmann, Dawn Weberg, Colleen McCracken, Julie Erickson, Breckan Feltz, Traci Wells, Tracy Kleppe-who made sure that all the different areas of the Carnival operate smoothly. As well as the many volunteers who helped run games, set up, cleaned up, donated raffle prizes, and provided baked goods we say-THANK YOU!! This is the JPTO’s big fundraising event of the year and we are so appreciative of all the volunteers who came together to make this event a great success.
THANK YOU to Kim Kitelinger and Robin Ryan for coordinating all the treats, events, and gifts for Teacher Appreciation Week. These two made sure our staff was shown how much we love and appreciate them by doing something special for them each day of the week.
And, a big THANKS to all the parents and staff that attended our April JPTO Meeting. We appreciate your involvement and support. It was especially nice to see a lot of new faces in the crowd this month. Considered joining us on Monday, May 13th at 7:00 in the Art Room for our final meeting of the 2018-2019 school year. We will be discussing the details of recent school events, voting in our new officers, and receiving an update on important school happenings. We welcome your input and collaboration. Hope to see you there!
