Happy, happy last days of summer, my Wolves!

Have I mentioned lately how very lucky I am to be your Wolves' principal? I can't imagine doing this without our incredible staff and this community!

To all of our new neighbors, welcome to our Whitt Wolf family! This is the first of many newsletters you will receive this school year!

We know there are still plenty of questions surrounding this upcoming school year. It promises to be challenging in new and different ways. Please know that whatever your family chooses, your wolf matters to us and is a part of our pack. We will purposely be focused on not only maintaining the HIGH standard of education you have come to expect from our teachers BUT have a heightened purpose in building relationships, whether you are on campus or remote learning.

We promise to have such grace as we start to navigate this back to school and what that may look like for you and your family, and ask that you give the same to us. Decisions aren't being made lightly or easily. You and your family are so incredibly important to us and we will be doing our VERY best to make sure you know that through our actions and plans moving forward.

This first newsletter will offer a little insight into your most asked questions. In the next newsletter, we will include information addressing arrival, dismissal, the first day of school, cafeteria procedures, etc...Please be patient as we devise new plans to keep your children safe. I promise, as soon as we have a solid plan, we will share it with you!!

As we begin to move forward, PLEASE feel free to email or call Mrs. Power or me. We will answer any questions you have...and promise to be more accurate than Facebook. :)

School Supplies

We know many of you ordered school supplies online. These supplies will be delivered to our campus in a week or two. If your child is learning on campus your child's supplies will be in their classroom at our meet the teacher. (More info on that coming soon!)

If your child is learning remotely, you can pick up these supplies during our Supply Pick up for remote learners. (More info on that coming soon!)

Commitment Survey

A few weeks ago you were asked to complete an "Intent Survey" indicating how you planned for your child to receive instruction...either remotely or on campus (face to face.) Thank you so much for helping us by completing that survey!!

Tomorrow, July 30th, you will receive our official district "Commitment Survey." This will allow you to commit to a learning style for your child. Please keep in mind this is a 9-week commitment.

By choosing remote instruction, please make note that you are committing to having your child available and logged in to the computer for instruction at various times as indicated by your child's teacher. Below are two sample schedules, one for grades K, 1 and 2, and one for grades 3 and 4.

Meet the Teacher

On the afternoon of August 10th, our teachers will be calling to let you know that they are your child's teacher if you have completed the commitment survey!

Meet the Teacher will look a little different this year, but we are just so thankful to be able to offer this opportunity to you! To help minimize traffic, we'll be offering an appointment schedule of "meet the teacher".

1. If your child is learning on campus your teacher will have a virtual sign up available and sent via email on August 10th. You will be able to take a pic with the teacher and see the classroom.

2. If your child is learning remotely, your child's teacher will send out a sign up for a virtual meet the teacher experience.

We have times available on August 11th and 12th to help accommodate as many people as possible, while mitigating large crowds. We will also have our back to school photo opportunities up and available at that time.
