The Romanian astronaut Dumitru Dorin Prunariu

Dumitru Dorin Prunariu is the only Romanian who spent in space 7 days, 20 hours, 42 minutes and 52 seconds in May 1981 when he completed an eight-day space mission on board Soyuz 40 and the Salyut 6 space laboratory. He completed scientific experiments in the fields of astrophysics, space radiation, space technology, space medicine and biology.
