Congrats to all students who had their artwork selected by Superintendent Wainwright for inclusion in either the district newsletter or staff holiday cards! They included: Wynn Campbell, Gentry Doyle, Marlee Heaton, Ralph Leonard, Ellie Philipps, William Rielly, Brock Sandahl, Lainey Terrill, Jack Tippett, Nora Whitford, and Rachel Heisner, whose design was chosen for both the newsletter and cards!

Sometimes all you need is a hug and a song. Thanks to our high school choir friends for stopping by the elementary prior to break to share sounds of the season!

Our middle school advisory groups did a great job door decorating for the holidays! Ms. Walter's crew received the most votes.

The Mineral Point Basketball Hall of Fame will welcome its third class on Saturday, January 8th when the Pointer girls play host to the Wisconsin Heights Vanguards. The induction will take place in between the JV and Varsity games at approximately 2:00. The JV game begins at 1:00 and the varsity at approximately 2:30. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services and the CDC recommend that anyone who has symptoms of COVID-19 or who has had close contact with someone with COVID-19 be tested. The test for COVID-19 involves a quick swab of the inside of the nose. The school is working with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services on providing rapid antigen and PCR tests in school. If you would like to have the option for your child to get a PCR or antigen test at school, they must bring the attached consent form signed by a parent/guardian if they are under 18 years old. You would be contacted before any testing would occur and only if indicated per school policy. This form is being distributed now, to be collected in advance so that in the event your child needs to be tested, we would not have to wait for the form to be returned during the middle of a work or school day.

Bridging Brighter Smiles (provides dental care for those who are underinsured or uninsured) will be coming to the schools 1/4/22 to do dental cleanings for students who qualify.
