Blackboard News
Starting at the beginning of the 2013-14 school year Blackboard will be available for all teachers K-12 to use for Professional Development. Also, we will have Blackboard accounts for all students in grades 6-12. We will be providing professional development on how to use and access Blackboard, create courses for students and provide resources for students to learn how to use Blackboard. More information in the future on how to login and and access Blackboard. We are in the process of setting it up and getting everything ready for the new school year.
Tech Tool - Smore Video

Email Accounts for 3-5th Grade Students
We are in the process of getting email accounts up and running for 3-5th grade students for the upcoming school year. I can hear the cheers from the primary teachers right now!! We will get information to the principals to send home to parents and get things rolling for the upcoming school year! Remember that parents will have the option to opt our of email for their students and you will need to think about your assignments for those who do not have email. This will allow you to use the Web 2.0 Tools in your classroom to meet many of the digital requirements of the Common Core Standards.
Youtube Access for 6-12 Grade Students
We will be working on Youtube access for all students in 6-12th grade for the upcoming 2013-14 school year! Again, I hear cheers from the secondary teachers. This will allow you to embed videos for Flipping the Classroom, student access to Kahn Academy videos and TedEd videos for Common Core Standards. We will keep you updated as we work with k12itc. This will require reminding our students about digital citizenship and proper management of using these tools in our classrooms.
