Happy Friday Charger Families!
I hope you have been able to enjoy some of the unseasonable and warmer weather we've experienced the last several days. We are quickly approaching the end of February and this coming Thursday is Leap Day, and we have several events scheduled for that day of school:
- First, we are going to be celebrating our February birthdays with a book and treat.
- Also, on the 29th we are going to be Leaping into a Good Book (attire is athletic gear).
- The other event taking place is our first-grade program, Living on a Farm. We will have two seperate performances in the evening on the 29th to help with parking and seating in the cafeteria.
- The program for students in Spence, Foxx, and Brown will begin at 6:00.
- The program for students in Dreiling, Kosmala, and Langdon will begin at 7:00.
Thursday, February 29th is also the final day to purchase your 2023-24 Yearbook. Click on the link below, which will take you to the webpage to order your yearbook. Secure your yearbook now before the 29th deadline passes.
Calling at runners! Tomorrow there will be a Swine Week activity, the Hog Jog, at Mitch Park with the for those that might want to participate. The 1 mile run will begin at 2:30 and 5K run will start at 3:00.
This morning at Charge Up, we were able to recognize Baylee Dreiling as our February Teacher of the Month. Mrs. Dreiling teaches first-grade at Chisholm and this is her first year at Chisholm, having previously taught in Mid-Del and Mustang. Congratulations Mrs. Dreiling on this recognition and we would like to thank the Vandruff Farmers Insurance for supporting this monthly recognition of our staff.
This morning at Charge Up, we also recognized Vani Greg (1st), Lillian Jackson(2nd), Srinidhi Chilakapati(3rd), and Lily Williams (Honorable Mention) who submitted art work and recently placed in a recent Arbor Day Contest. Congratulations!
Have a great weekend!

Please help us during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal by not turning right on red as you enter the parking lot from the west. This will provide those turning left from the east an opportunity to enter into the parking lot as cars move along.
The February Smart Social Tip added to this newsletter has information on Instagram that could be helpful for parents to monitor student use on this social media platform. YMCA Spring Sports Sign-up - Information can be found below if you are interested in signing your child up for a spring sport.

Dismissal Reminder for Spring Hill/ Old Farm/ Thornbrook walkers should only be used by students that live in those areas. If your student doesn't live in those neighborhoods they need to either use bus or car rider to get home at the end of the day. We don't want to send students into a neighborhood that don't live in that neighborhood.
Calling all Substitutes - If you are interested in becoming a substitute, as a classroom teacher or classroom assistant, or even if you want to inquire more about the possibility of becoming a substitute in the future, please click on this link or you can call the school. The district has recently approved some additional incentives ( Subs now get paid twice a month and if you work 6 out of 10 days in a pay period, they can now earn an addition $100 in the pay period).
