Coach Caroline's Weekly Update
11/3/14
What a Week!
Innovation
As you may or may not know, many students and classes have had the opportunity to participate in a virtual field trip. I was asked by the Illinois Computing Educators group to write about how've we've used them. The article was published in this month's newsletter. Click here to read the article!
If you are interested in participating in a virtual field trip or would like to connect with another class via Google +, let me know! I'd love to help you bring this innovation into your classroom!
Interdependence
By the Roosevelt Staff being persistent and working together, we were able to secure another year of BrainPOP! A special thanks to everyone who loves this resource and for every person who was able to chip in to make this possible for this year!
Way to be interdependent, Roosevelt Staff!
Inspiration
Last week, over 75 3rd-5th grade students signed up to take part in coding club! I was overwhelmed by the amount of students interested in computer programming. The Coding Club will have three different sections so that each student will have the opportunity to participate.
I'm am so inspired that so many students are motivated to try computer programming!
Do you want to try coding?
