Weekly Newsletter 24.11.23
This week...
One of the things that makes us really special at St Joseph's is the way in which we nurture the whole child, underpinned by our Gospel values. This week, it's been great to see so many opportunities for our children to build and strengthen some of those virtues. Across school, we enjoyed PSHCE workshops, run by The Children's Society; St Patrick's class participated in their outdoor adventure day; the Open the Book team facilitated a vibrant, creative worship; children of all ages played a fun game of dodgeball together at lunchtime; and our Little Rescuers developed their life-saving skills!
We are really proud of the way in which our children eagerly and enthusiastically embrace the challenges and opportunities we give them. Each day, working hard to...
Live, love and learn with the Lord.
Mrs Ronicle
Virtue - hope
We talked about the Bible story of Jesus healing the blind beggar, because the beggar believed that Jesus could and would. We discussed the hope that the blind man demonstrated and how this hope brought him great things. We reminded ourselves that, .. With God, all things are possible!
PSHCE Workshops
Huge thanks to the Children's Society, who spent a morning in school this week, delivering PSHCE workshops for all of our children! These sessions helped to strengthen the virtues of compassion and charity within our children. To find out more about the charity and their wonderful work, have a look at their website: The Children's Society | UK children's charity (childrenssociety.org.uk)
Christmas Cards
Quick reminder: Your child's art work should now have come home along with order forms for you to transform them onto cards, mugs and more! The deadline for orders is this Sunday (26th November). As soon as all orders are placed we can confirm delivery dates, which will be to school.

A message from the Friends of St Joseph's
Firstly, a big THANK YOU to all the children, staff and families for taking part in 'quirky hair day' last week. It was great to see so many colourful and creative styles. The donations of chocolates and bottles was also very appreciated and really helped to stock our tombola and bottle hoopla games!
The day of the Fayre is fast approaching and we hope to see all of our families coming along to have some festive fun and support our lovely school.
Any donations for the cake stall are welcomed (they don't have to be home baked!). These can be dropped in school next Friday, or even to school on the morning of the Fayre. If you have any spare time to help set up/clear away, help out on a stall, please do let us know.
Look out for more updates on our Facebook page or e-mail us: friendsofstjotad@gmail.com
