WELCOME BACK MUSTANG BAND!!!
July 18-22
7:30 AM- 4 PM
Percussion will have a parent demonstration at noon on Friday
Leadership Monday and Tuesday 10AM- 2 PM
WEEK 1 FULL BAND CAMP July 25-29
Monday- Friday
7:30 AM- 4 PM
Friday, July 29 we will have an end of week Lock-in 5 PM- 11 PM
This is optional but highly encouraged, you won't want to miss out on this time to celebrate the end of our first week of band camp!
WEEK 2 FULL BAND CAMP August 1-5
Monday, 8/1
7 AM- 9:15 AM
Tuesday, 8/2
7 AM- noon
Wednesday, 8/3 (FULL DAY; bring lunch and dinner this day)
7 AM- 4 PM (Rehearsal will be followed by our meet the teacher and Meet the Mustangs)
4 PM will be your dinner break
Freshmen will attend Round up; everyone has time to attend meet the teacher with your parents
EVERYONE be in the bandhall at 7 PM with instrument in summer uniform to get set on the field for Meet the Mustangs. This is our first group performance!

BAND FEES
Meet Mr. Hayes
Mr. Hayes is excited to be joining the Sachse band program as an Assistant Director.
Mr. Hayes has spent the past three years at Melissa High School as Associate Director of Bands where he taught Symphonic Band, beginner classes, team taught the Jazz Band, and was Visual Director for the Marching Band. Prior to his time in Melissa, he started his teaching career in 2017 as an Assistant Director at Tyler Legacy High School near his hometown.
Mr. Hayes grew up in small town East Texas where he graduated from Winona High School as a trumpet player and drum major. After high school, he attended Texas A&M University - Commerce and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Music Education and a minor in business. While in college, he was a section leader for the Pride Marching Band, performed in a variety of ensembles including brass choirs and jazz band, and was the treasurer for Kappa Kappa Psi. He marched two seasons of drum corps with the World Class Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps on Mellophone.
Outside of teaching, Mr. Hayes enjoys working as a drill writer and show designer, hiking, reading, attending musicals, and spending time with his partner and two dogs.
