Dear Families,
Our school is reading with Scholastic Book Clubs! Your childâs teacher may already send home flyers each month to build their classroom library-that is great! Please continue to order from your childâs teacher. However, if your childâs teacher (any grade) does not participate in Scholastic Book Clubs, and you would like to build a home library or just have a book to read for vacation or pleasure, you can now order from the link below and help JMUES at the same time. We have a birthday book program that invites each student to pick a free book from our book collection on their birthday (summer birthdays pick in June). The PFA graciously contributes some of the proceeds from the book fair to help us keep our shelves stocked with the most popular selections, but we need to find other ways to keep replacing books for our program. Using the link and code from our school page to order books will give us âpointsâ to purchase more books.
When placing an order, you will be prompted to add your childâs name (first/last) and room #. (Ex. JaneDoe,120). The book orders will arrive at the school and be sent home with your child.
Family Order Due Date: Any month, any time until 06/13/2025 (I will submit on/around the end of month).
Shop Our School Page: https://orders.scholastic.com/QFX2Q
Shop Flyers: https://clubs.scholastic.com/all-flyers
Plus place an order of $25 or more and you can pick a FREE $5 book (use code READS at checkout).
Every order benefits our birthday book program, helping us earn FREE books that every child can enjoy.
Thanks so much for your support!

Message for Parents and Teachers: Items Dropped off at School
Due to the recent surge in itemâs being dropped off for students during the day we will no longer be calling classrooms to notify students of items being dropped off. This will help us to minimize interrupting learning times. If your student reaches out to you asking for an item to be dropped off please encourage your student to talk to their teacher to coordinate a good time to come down to the office to retrieve their item.

Quick Clicks: What Are We Learning In Tech Class?
In our final UA rotation, Tech students are diving into the exciting world of computer programming! They are learning about various programming languages, robotics, and coding. We use a variety of fun and creative platforms, such as Scratch and Code.org, to practice coding skills by creating interactive projects like animations and games.
Later, we will put our coding skills to the test as we work to program our collection of resident robots!
