Boys Swimming
Last Wednesday, the boy’s traveled to PW to compete in an out-of-league meet. The boy’s lost 96-87; however, there were some great times from various boy’s which is not easy to do after a tough winter break training. Traditionally, PW and Methacton have always had a friendly rival and the meet ends with a special co-ed relay called the grudge match relay, which started in 1992. Both team’s create a relay with your two best boy’s and two best girls. The winning relay takes home a trophy and bragging rights until the next time they meet. This year our relay consisted of Eric Zang (sr.), Madison Wimmer (sr.), Lucy Michel (jr.), and Christian Lebold (sr.). The race was extremely close and sadly our Warriors came up short. PW won the relay by 0.01 of a second! Regardless of the outcome, it was a fun race to watch and cheer for.
Swimmer of the meet was Davis Rees. Davis swam personal best times in the 50 freestyle and his 50 free relay split was also a personal best.
On Friday the boy’s beat Norristown, 86-59. This meet provided an opportunity for boy’s swim some events they do not normally swim and to provide an opportunity for some teammates to have some individual swims. Swimmer of the meet was Ethan Coronel who had all personal best times in all his events.
Upcoming Events:
Tuesday 1/9 - Meet vs. Upper Merion HS (AWAY)
Thursday 1/11 - Meet vs. Pottsgrove HS (HOME)

Izzy Ketterer won the 100 breast and the medley relay team of Julia Landsberg, Izzy Ketterer, Truly Sommer, and Madison Wimmer took first place.
