Bryan County Middle High
Week of November 1st
Cool November
We are ready to rock and roll into November. We have about 7 weeks left in the semester.
A huge GOOD LUCK to our RAIDERS Team as they head to STATE today and to our band tomorrow for their showcase at Statesboro! We are so proud of the hard work that all of our scholar-athletes put in outside of the school day!
ALL SCHOOL NEWS: (6-12)
- Schools were built for scholars to have safe, engaging, and enriching experiences. We have seen a huge increase in "fight club" and various physical aggressions. Because of this trend, we are continuing what was put in place last year. Scholars who participate in a fight will be assigned 10 days of OSS with a pending hearing for Alternative Placement. Scholars involved in the fight, which may include things such as: videoing, instigating, watching or planning, may be also subject to 5 days of OSS. We are working hard to make sure our campus is a safe place for kids to learn and grow. We appreciate your support.
- Please help us with our dress code. Dress codes are a critical part of our school's climate.
- Attendance is critical -- please attend school daily and on time!
- Masks are now optional.
- Continue to be a REDskin who is respectful, engaged, and dependable to earn PBIS points
- NO SCHOOL November 11 and 12
- Veteran's Day Assembly- Wednesday November 10th
UPPER SCHOOL NEWS: (9-12)
- All School SRI will be in November. This is a reading test that will give all our scholars a Lexile Level. The test will be given by grade level and will take less than 60 minutes
- 45 FRIDAY: 45 Friday is now heading into its third week. Feedback from scholars has been overall positive.
- SADD: Interest Meeting on Wednesday during FLEX time
- Wrestling tryouts begin this week at Lanier
LOWER SCHOOL NEWS: (6-8)
- Peeks of the Week for each grade level come out Sunday night or Monday morning. Please read those for detailed grade level information.
- Wrestling tryouts begin this week at Lanier.
We are excited about the renovations starting in our Weight Room and Baseball and Softball fields, so excuse our dust outside as we prepare for amazing new facilities thanks to our Superintendent and Board of Education. During this time, we may run into issues that we have to deal with that are outside of our control zone-- but we are so thankful that in the end, we will have new facilities.
We will also continue to work on mitigating circumstances regarding CoVID. We are thankful that what we are doing on campus is working and we are able to be in school. If you have any questions or concerns, please call us. Thank you for your support and for helping us continue to stay face to face.
We are excited about an awesome November! Thank you for all you do to support Bryan County Middle High School!
