Learning Management System Announcement
Harford County Public School’s Board of Education voted on December 20, 2021, to adopt Canvas by Instructure as the next HCPS Learning Management System.
On July 1, 2022, Canvas will replace itslearning as the platform where curriculum is developed and applied to teacher courses. Canvas will facilitate student access to learning, completion of assignments, and teacher feedback through various mediums. Strong accessibility tools, a mobile app, and multiple ways to simplify communication are included in this platform. Canvas also elevates our county’s ability to integrate with third party tools and Teacher Access Center. Professional development throughout the spring and summer months will be provided to prepare instructional staff to implement the features of Canvas as well as support teachers in migrating content from itslearning to Canvas.
Watch this brief video for more on Canvas. Stay tuned for more information coming soon!
