Last Saturday, Setpember 11, the Cross Country Team participated in the huge Forest Park XC Festival. Coach Walker and Simons were so happy with all of the AHS runners with their positivity and perseverance. Many of the new runners completed their first 5K! Congratulations to the XC Team!

All Affton Students: We are looking for an announcer for our Homecoming Pep Rally on October 1st, the halftime Homecoming court introduction on October 1st, and the coronation at the dance on October 2nd. We are holding tryouts/ interviews for interest students after school on Monday, September 20th in Mrs. Sander's Room (211.) Student who are are interested, should fill out this form and check all time slots that match your availability on that day and we'll assign your interview time. Check your email for more details.

Tori Bussee got her 400th. career kill this week as the Cougars swept the Huskies of Ritenour and the Bayless Bronchos on all 3 levels. Freshman, JV, and Varsity.

Congratulations Tori and the entire AHS Volleyball Team!

Soccer defeated Pacific on Tuesday, 3-0. They are looking to continue their winning streak today at Ritenour. The team will play next week in the St. Charles/St. Charles West United Invitational.

The Ladies Tennis Team won a hard fought match against a very talented University City Tennis Team on Wednesday. Audrey Miklovic and Aliyah Hernandez won both their doubles and signles matches while Adna Muminovic and Tammy Jackson both won their singles matches. Then on Thursday both doubles teams won, and Abbie Dallmann and Tammy Jackson pulled off singles wins! Awesome job Ladies!

The Garden Club has been working hard for their Fall Harvest. While they were working, they took a much needed break to enjoy an Ice Cream.

Emma Lanz continues to be on the top 10 lists for highest batting average and slugging percent in the STL area! She is also top ten for on base percentage. Congratulations Emma! Keep Working!

Affton High School Freedom Fighters will meet Thursday, September 23, in Room 302 between 2:25 - 3:25. This is open to all students.

The Affton High School Freedom Fighters is a youth leadership group whose mission is to educate ourselves and others and take action to make our school and community equitable and inclusive.

Fall Athletic Fees are $25 for the 2021-22 school year. This fee covers all three seasons at AHS. For those participating in a fall sport, there has been a $25 athletic fee added on their Tyler account This will need to be paid through the parents' Tyler account before the winter season. Students will not be allowed to participate in future sports until this fee is paid. All fines/fees will need to also be paid for seniors before they can graduate.

This year, AHS will charge for Football and Basketball only. Admission Prices for Football is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Cash will be accepted (this is a change from last week). However, we are excited that in the future, AHS will transition to accepting credit cards at the gate and concessions! Stay tuned for information when that is finalized. Until then, we will accept cash in both the gate and concession areas.

Interested in expanding your Cybersecurity knowledge? CyberPatriot is the National Youth Cyber Education Program created by the Air Force Association to inspire K-12 students toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines critical to our nation's future. At the core of the program is the National Youth Cyber Defense Competition, the nation's largest cyber defense competition that puts high school and middle school students in charge of securing virtual networks. We will meet weekly afterschool prior to competition season and teams will have a minimum of 3 competitions.
