Stillwater Elementary School
Week of 9/26-9/30
From Principal Toleman
Dear Families,
This Monday we have our first Morning Program in which families can attend. We are trying to shift the focus of the Morning Program to be less of a focus on the awards and more on using this opportunity to come together as a school community. At this time, we will still have our Warrior All Stars recognized and celebrated! Morning Program begins at 9 am and families are able to enter the building after 8:40 am.
To keep our parent drop-off running smoothly and efficiently, I ask that you let your child be independent during drop-off. You should pull up and they can get out. As you have noticed, there are several staff members out there to make sure the children enter the building safely. They should get their backpacks and put them on themselves. We focus a lot on increasing independence here at school. I thank you for your assistance with our drop off procedures.
Have a safe and enjoyable weekend!
Respectfully,
Rebecca Toleman

Stillwater BackPack Program
The BackPack Program at Stillwater runs from October through June and provides students with food that is child-friendly and easily consumed for the weekend when school breakfast and lunches aren't available. Our goal is to always make sure no child goes hungry. If your family is in need, you can reach out to Deanna Sargent, School Social Worker at dsargent@scsd.org.
Our BackPack Program is run through the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York. We fund it solely through donations and fundraising efforts.
