INFORMATION FOR ALL VISITORS
This week is American Education Week! This is an exciting opportunity for us to celebrate public education in the Rose Tree Media School District and to showcase our outstanding middle school. We invite parents to join us for a first-hand experience of our school. Visitation for parents and caregivers will be held on the following dates and times:
Grades 7 & 8 - Thursday, November 17th from 7:55 AM to 10:25 AM.
Grade 6 - Friday, November 18th from 7:55 AM to approximately 12:35 (end of luncheon)
You may park in any available space in the front or side lots. You will sign-in upon arrival in the Main Lobby. Visitors will be provided with a name tag, building map, and a copy of the bell schedule. If possible, please find out from your child their schedule so that you know the room number to which you are heading. Of course, if you need assistance, we will be ready to help. We invite you to stay for as long or as little as your schedule allows within these established timeframes. We are excited to welcome you to The Lake!
Please note - We are unable to accommodate younger siblings for the classroom visitation. We also request that you refrain from using your cell phone while in the classroom.
6th Grade Student & Family Luncheon
The Thanksgiving Luncheon for 6th grade students and families on Friday will begin at approximately 12:00 PM. We will begin to call students and parents to the cafeteria by class beginning at that time. If you or your child will be eating the Thanksgiving meal, you must pre-pay. If you have not sent in money and the RSVP form, we will still accept them in the Main Office through first thing on Friday morning. The link to the form can be found HERE.
If you will be joining us for lunch only, please plan to arrive by 11:45 AM. This will allow you to meet your child in their 6th period class. By doing so, we can assure that students and parents are not trying to find one another amid a sea of people. If you arrive at 12:00 PM or later, we will direct you to the Auditorium Lobby and we will have your child meet you there and escort you to lunch. Because arrival to lunch will be staggered by class, the dismissal from lunch will, likewise, be staggered. Typically, everyone is done eating by 1:00 PM. When students are finished eating, they will bid farewell to their parents and report to their 7th period class.
