We have a new bus and bus cameras!
We took delivery of our newest bus this week. It is a 2019 Blue Bird 53 passenger, and it will go into service on Julie Horton's route in the near future. This was paid for through our no-tax-increase bond issue from 2022--thank you to our local district taxpayers who made this possible!
We also now have working camera systems on all of our route buses, thanks to a state safety grant. These were installed Thursday, and provide an extra safety measure for our students and drivers, allowing us to thoroughly investigate any incidents that might happen on our buses.
5th grade wrote and presented speeches this week over opinions of their choice.
Kindergarten with some hands-on learning this week!
Mission Statement
The mission of the Miller County R-III School District, in partnership with our students, parents, staff, and community, is to promote PRIDE and provide a quality education that inspires our students to be lifelong learners.
Principal's Corner
Dear Parents and Community Members,
Can you believe that January is almost over?! I can’t believe how fast this school year is going! I don’t know about you, but I’m hoping this rainy, foggy weather is almost over. Hopefully we will see the sun at some point this weekend!
Next Friday, February 2nd is Homecoming. To celebrate, we will be having a spirit week next week. Here are the dress up days:
Monday: PJ Day
Tuesday: Duo Day (example: Barbie & Ken, Batman & Robin, etc.)
Wednesday: Hawaiian Day
Thursday: Career Day
Friday: Red and White Day
Please continue to send students with coats, especially if they are recess-age. Students will go out for recess if the temperature is above 35 degrees and there is no precipitation. If you need assistance with obtaining a coat for your student please contact the office as we have resources available to help with this.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to reach out. My door is always open and I am always willing to help however I can. Stay safe and warm out there!
Sincerely,
Kyla Kirtley
Principal
