Transportation Update 9.10

SISD Family,

As you are aware, the Town of Sunnyvale is improving the community's roadways in the $9.3 million road improvement project recently approved by the Sunnyvale Town Council. The general schedule for the project is available on The Town of Sunnyvale's website. Be sure to review the schedule so that you can be mindful of the overall construction plan.

Order we will run until Town East is done (Probably until Thanksgiving Break) These times are estimates. Allow 5 minutes either side of the time. SMS/SHS times are approximately 45 minutes after 1st route times.

Leave 6:38 AM (SES/SIS) 7:30(SMS/SHS)

Only PM routes will be affected at this time. We can only run Northbound on Tripp. We will run the PM route in reverse. The whole route runs in 30 minutes. Some will get home 15-20 minutes earlier than normal. Collins Barnes Bridge will get home 20 minutes later than normal.

The Town of Sunnyvale has announced a meeting to discuss construction on Collins Road. This information is from the Town of Sunnyvale's website:

The Town of Sunnyvale is committed to creating the best possible quality of life and safety in our community. With that in mind, we are preparing to begin working on Collins Street between Town East Boulevard and Barnes Bridge Road. This project will fully reconstruct this section of roadway as well as improve safety and traffic flow in this area.

During this meeting, you can learn more about the Town’s options to improve safety and traffic flow along this corridor and the project timeline. Before we begin the project, we would like to get your input. Please plan on attending the following public meeting:
