LETTER FROM YOUR PRINCIPAL:
Dear Bobcat Families,
Thank you to all the families, friends, students and staff who came to the International Charity Gala last Friday night! What a wonderful turn out we had. I absolutely loved watching the students show off their dances so proudly. Thank you to all of the families who donated money. It was so fun to watch the bidding take place, Amber Macdonald and Greg Land had so much fun making you all bid higher!
Lost and Found
Spring Break is just around the corner. Please come and check out our Lost And Found. Any items left after next Friday will be taken to Goodwill.
Color Run Next Friday
Next Friday, students can participate in a Color Run during lunch recess. It is completely voluntary and should be a lot of fun. If your student wants to run, it would be great to wear a white shirt, then the colors stand out more. All of the color is completely washable with safe ingredients -100% FD&C and D&C approved dyes, cornstarch, and baking soda.
César Chavez Holiday
Today, March 31st, is a holiday which commemorates the life and legacy of the labor activist and civil rights leader, César Chavez. An Almond teacher found this treasure trove of resources about Caesar Chavez (and other people and aspects of the labor movement) and I thought I would share with you. There are kid-friendly read alouds, informational videos, art activities and more for your family to learn more together about this wonderful man and movement: César Chavez Day

This event lends itself to a myriad of learning experiences: within the class or at home, working individually or collaboratively with peers or with adults, and amongst a wide range of STEM categories including: Rube Goldberg, Invention, Engineering (Reverse), Engineering (Robotics), Scientific Inquiry, and Wearable Designs. Ultimately, students will get a chance to showcase their STEM work in a fun and unique venue, with learning opportunities for the entire family.
