New Outdoor Classroom Space at Roosevelt!
PRINCIPAL'S CORNER
Dear Parents,
Thanks to our PTO and the fall Tiger Trot, we have a new outdoor classroom space on campus. This is located next to the reading garden on Fairview. We are thrilled to have this space for students and classes to use this spring. Thank you!
Registration Deadline is June 1st
Please complete the online registration process so we can accurately determine the number of classrooms needed at each grade level. Your assistance with this effort is greatly appreciated.
Composting Starts Next Week!
We are delighted to start offering composting during 5th grade lunch next week. Students will be encouraged to dispose of their "food scraps" into a special container in the lunchroom. Here is the video we will be sharing with students to educate them about this process:
HOW TO COMPOST FOOD SCRAPS AT SCHOOL
Soon we will expand the composting opportunity to all grade levels!
Class Placement Input (2023-2024)
We have an excellent staff, and so it is our hope that you will just trust our expertise with the input from your child’s current teacher to determine the best placement for your child for the upcoming school year.
We recognize that parents also have good insights into how their children learn. If you would like to request that certain information be considered in assigning a placement, please send me a separate email. The deadline has passed for the Google form.
Have a wonderful day!
Dr. Dwyer

Student Behavior Expectations
We are delighted to reward students for great behavior. The new book vending machine is part of this incentive program. Just a reminder we expect students to be respectful, responsible and safe in all settings. Teachers and Administrators value the parent partnership and if a situation occurs we will work together to resolve the matter. For your reference the updated behavior form is attached here to view.
Electronic Device Policy
Cell phones and other electronic devices are to be powered off and kept in the student’s locker during the school day. Any digital communications device (e.g., “smart” watch, GPS tracker, etc.) must be kept in the student’s locker during the school day.
