BE BOLD. BE BRAVE. BE BREMERTON.
A message from your Superintendent

Dear Bremerton Community,
Today was the first day of school in the Bremerton School District. As the new academic year unfolds, I’m inspired by the resilience, passion, and strength of our community. This year, our rallying cry will be to step within ourselves and within our community to become the very best versions of who we are together.
Be Bold. Bremerton has always been a place of innovation, where new ideas find fertile ground. In our schools, boldness will translate to a proactive approach to learning, ensuring that every student, regardless of their background, has a chance to shine. We will not shy away from leaning into our future and building on the great work that came before.
Be Brave. In the heart of Bremerton lies an enduring spirit of courage, of service. This year, more than ever, we’ll embrace that bravery. Together, we’ll face opportunities, whether they’re in the classroom, waving our artistic brush, lending our time, shining on the sports field, or within our community at large. Begin brave means pushing beyond comfort zones, trying innovative educational approaches, and always prioritizing the growth and well-being of our youth.
Be Bremerton. This isn’t just a place – it’s a feeling, a sense of unity. Unity suggests not just belonging to a group, but actively coming together, standing together, and working towards common goals with individual uniqueness. It’s the pride that comes from our shared traditions and values. Being Bremerton means knowing that our community’s strengths lie in its diversity, its history, and its unwavering belief in the potential of its youth. As we dive into this new academic year, let’s keep our community spirit at the forefront of all we do.
Our vision for this year is clear: every student will feel engaged, empowered, and excel; our community will feel involved, informed, and inspired. This vision requires collective action, collaboration, and a shared commitment to the future. This year, our next chapter will allow us to examine and develop our vision for the future by drawing on our past and present.
I invite each of you – students, teachers, parents, and community members – to join us on this journey. Participate in our community outreach programs, attend our football games, mentor a student, or simply share your feedback and ideas. Your involvement is invaluable.
In closing, I want to express deep gratitude to all of Bremerton. Your support, your trust, and your investment in our schools are the foundation of our community’s future. As we embark on this exciting new chapter, let us remember: to be brave is to walk into growth head on, to be bold is to innovate and lead, and to be Bremerton is to be the best version of ourselves, individually and collectively, together.
