Color wheel

For my color wheel project, I decided to draw a simple color wheel because I didn't want to do anything big and I wanted it to be really simple. I first drew the wheel then traced with a sharpie. Then I started to add the primary and secondary colors.

Flower

For my quarter 2 project, I decided to do “Value, Line and Texture Drawing” because I wanted to challenge myself with new art drawings. I first drew the flower, then traced the flower with a black charcoal pencil and then I started adding different kinds of texture to the flower.

Pikachu

For my quarter 3 project I decided to chose the limited palette because I wanted to try something different. For my project I have created a pikachu because i wanted to draw something different beside a flower. The first thing I did when making this artwork is I first drew pikachu, then traced pikachu onto a canvas board. After that I traced pikachu with a sharpie, then I started to add color to the drawing. I had to pick three main colors then try and create other colors by combining the colors with each other. The three colors I chose were black, yellow and red. For my palette I had black mixed with yellow, black mixed with red and etc.

My growth as an artist this year...

I have gotten better at making different kind of shades and mixing paints to get a certain color.

“What have you learned about making Art?”

One thing I have learned about making art is art is a way of expressing beauty, emotions and feelings and the more you make, the more confident you are that you can make the next thing. Another thing I have learned about making art is art can help us be creative.

“What have you learned about yourself through the projects you have created?”

One thing I have learned about myself through the projects I have created is your mistakes can become the part of the bigger picture and the more effort you put in your drawing the better it comes out.

Which project you are most proud of and why?

The project I'm most proud of is my quarter 2 project because of the amount of time I put in on the work to get a different kind of textures on the drawing.

Your biggest weakness or area in need of growth has been this year?

I think my biggest weakness in art is tracing over a drawing when I feel like its not going to come out good If i try to draw it myself.

What kind of Art you want to make next or Art you are currently working on

I want to make drawing art next year because I want to get even better at drawing.

What kind of Art or artist inspires you the most and why?

Drawing art inspires me the most because that's the type of art I like the most.
