Testing
We will be doing iReady testing for grades 3, 4, 5, and 6 the week of May 23. K-2 has completed testing for the year. We will communicate these results with parents in the coming weeks.
These assessments will be used to imform teachers and staff of individal student academic growth and performance data. We will use this data to target improvements for instruction, specific needs of each student, and evaluate areas of growth.
Parent Night - May 24th
Dr. Roberts will present to parents on May 24th at 6:30 in the gym. Hear an update on the 2021-2022 school year as well as the exciting things we have planned for 2022-2023, including our new Art Center, professional development initiaves for teachers to enhance learning, and fabulous new opportunities for students. This is for all K-12 parents and community members.
Summer at AAA
Our programming includes dance, culinary, music, visual arts, and story-telling programming opportunities. Teachers will engage students in field trips that will provide community engagement and trips to local museums, including Crystal Bridges. In addition, we outsource our theater program to Arts Live, a non-profit children’s theater.
The summer program would provide transportation (if needed), breakfast and lunch (seamless summer option- ADE), activities, and a culminating performance/exhibition/culinary dining experience at the end of each session.
This summer program is anticipated to expand each summer year with new and diverse visiting artists, college and university exposure, increased enrollment, and engaging programs for each content area.
