As we kick off this new year, here are a few reminders about our carline and start time to they day!

-Inside 2 lanes are for drop off (outside lane is a passing lane only)

- Doors open at 7:05am

-Breakfast is 7:05am-7:35am

-All staff and students in their classrooms at 7:35am

-Staff will only be outside helping in the carline until 7:35am (They will be with students after that. If you arrive late you need to only use the inside lane or please park and walk your student to the door for safety.)

Calling ALL Ruth Cherry Dads!

Our All Pro Dad October Breakfast is coming up on Wednesday, February 28th, at 6:45 am, in the Cherry Cafeteria.

This is a chance for our dads/guardians and students to connect over donuts and a short video. And of course, what would an All Pro Dad breakfast be without...PRIZES!!!

If you are planning on attending, please complete the Google Form link that will be sent out through email.

We hope you will join us for each of our All Pro Dad breakfasts this year!

Please download the My School Bucks app to manage your child's lunch account. To see if you qualify for free or reduced lunch, please apply at https://www.myschooolapps.com.

Breakfast is $1.75 and served until 7:30.

Lunch is $2.70.

Money may be uploaded to your child's account at myschoolbucks.com.

Your child's teacher will share with you their lunch time.

PARENT LUNCHES

Parents are able to come have lunch with their children on Mondays through Thursdays. To help us teach all the students our procedures first, we'll wait to start this until September 11th.

After the 11th, you're welcome to come have lunch with your child in the main hallway in front of the cafeteria. If you choose to come have lunch with your child, they can either buy their lunch or you can bring food - either way! We cannot have friends join in on the parent lunches.

If you wish to bring cupcakes or other items to school to help your child celebrate a birthday, we can do that with a few restrictions to help us stay in compliance with food guidelines and allergy rules.

Items must be store bought with an ingredient label for our nurse to be able to check for allergies. We will deliver the food to their class, they can be dropped off at the office. Thank you for helping us stay in compliance!

We are proud to partner with the YMCA on our after school care program at every elementary campus! This program replaces EDP. The YMCA After School Care Program will serve students in PreK to 12 years old in a safe and nurturing environment in conjunction with the school calendar.

Program Details:

- Serves students PreK to 12 years of age

- Follows the School Calendar

- From the dismissal bell until 6:30 p.m.

- $71 per week, $5 off per sibling, 50% off RCISD employee rate

Be sure to let your child's teacher know how he or she is getting home from school. Bus - which bus? Car rider or walker? Daycare or YMCA?

During the year, any changes from the usual pickup routine need to be called to the front office by 2:30pm that day in order for us to notify your child's teacher in a timely manner. Please do not contact your teacher directly in case they don't have afternoon conference, have a sub that day, or happen to miss the message. Contacting the front office helps us make sure everyone involved with after school duty knows of the change.
