Event Information

Dual Credit Parent Night

We will be hosting our Annual Dual Credit Informational Meeting on Monday, January 28th at 6:30 p.m. in the Conner Auditorium. Representatives from local colleges/universities will be here to discuss participation in Dual Credit programs, such as the NKU School-Based Scholars, Early College, Gateway Dual Credit, and Thomas More's Gemini programs, respectively. We will also discuss Conner's participation in advanced World Language programs through NKU. The meeting should last roughly an hour. Students who are entering the 11th or 12th grades in the Fall of 2019 that meet admissions requirements are eligible to take courses both for high school credit and for college credit. Students entering the 10th grade who have taken Latin 1 and 2 or German 1 and 2 that also meet admissions requirements are eligible as well to take Advanced Latin or German Dual Credit courses at Conner. Students who have begun the Education Pathway at Conner and meet admissions requirements are eligible to take courses through NKU in the Education Department. There is a cost associated with each program, and space may be limited. We look forward to seeing all interested persons on January 28th at 6:30 p.m.

Seniors: Cap and Gown Orders

Attention Seniors:
Graduate Service will be at Conner High School on Thursday, January 31st during lunch for seniors to order their caps and gowns for graduation. You can also place your order online at www.graduateserviceinc.com from now until Monday, February 11th. Orders received after February 11th will be charged extra fees for shipping and handling. Please pay close attention to deadline dates.

Cheerleaders National Routine

The cheerleaders are performing their routine to practice for nationals. Please come and support them! The practice takes place on January 30th at 6:30 p.m. @ BCHS. $5 for adults and $2 for students.

FFA Members

FFA Members the Boone Speaking Invitational is Feb. 7th at Cooper H.S. If you wish to attend you must sign up with Ms. Gripshover by Jan. 25th.

Interested in the Media Team

Applications for the 2nd Block 2019-2020 Media Team are now available. They are due by 2:45 p.m. on Friday, January 25th. Applications are available in the MAC Lab during your lunch, before or after school from Mrs. Redding.

Scheduling Process Information

Please click the link in the document to sign up for an appointment on 2/6 or 2/7. Keep in mind that it does not matter if you are first or last. No scheduling preference will be given.


All students should have a parent, guardian, or adult representative attend with them on 2/6 or 2/7.

Looking Ahead

College Scholarship Presentation at BCPL

"College Scholarships: Show Me the Money!" hosted by the Boone County Public Library will be held on Tuesday, February 19th at 6:30 p.m. at the Scheben Branch. Check out www.bcpl.org/Events for more information.

Congratulations

Congratulations to the following students for being selected and participating in the 2019 NKU Tri-State Band Symposium: Caroline Schmidt, Anna Rice, Abigayle Bryant, Anna List, Desirae Edwards, Joel Clem, Jaron Cooper, Ilys Anderson, Thomas Putterbaugh, Miles Packwood, Madison Smith, and Matthew Edwards

Also, congratulations to the Corey Zelensky on being selected to the University of Kentucky Honors Concert Band!

Good luck to the Conner High School Winterguard as their competitive season begins on Saturday, January 26th at Waynesville High School. Their show is titled "Parasomnia". They will also perform on Saturday, February 16th at the Conner Competition (yes, here at CHS), on Saturday, February 23rd at Campbell County, on Saturday, March 16th at Milford HS, and then at the Trip State Championships on Saturday, March 23rd at Ryle HS. Good luck Winterguard!

FFA Members

FFA Members: Lots of events are coming up! On January 3oth meet in Room 133 after school for a fun activity. Also, February 6th is the last day to pay $10 for Regional conference. The conference is on February 23rd at Conner and includes t-shirt and lunch.

Seniors- "Then and Now"

Seniors it's time to look at how much you have grown! We need your "Then and Now" photos for the 2018-2019 Yearbook. Don't miss out on this opportunity!
