The flowers are blooming perhaps we have turned to corner to warmer weather and sunshine. As we reflect on this past year, we are pleased with the students' growth and continued dedication during this nontraditional year. Our attendance rate for last week was 98%. Way to go, Wildcats!

Wharton staff has been using Reflex, a math fact fluency program, for the past two years. We have seen tremendous growth in students as they mastered their multiplication and division facts 0-12. From the start of the year, students have increased their fluency by 61%. We know this will help students as they continue on to higher levels of math.

As we prepare for the end of the year, we know each student will continue to be successful at Heritage next fall. Should you have any questions regarding end of year activities or the transition to the middle school, please do not hesitate to call the main office.

Our summer school program has a new look to it this year! The summer school program will be delivered in two 4-week long sessions. Session I will begin on June 8, 2021 and end on July 2, 2021. A two-week intermission will take place and then summer programming will resume on July 20, 2021 and end on August 13, 2021. Student may participate in either or both sessions. Please be sure to review course offerings. Morning sessions will have an academic focus, and afternoon sessions are more elective in nature. There are exciting offerings for students, but sure to review the catalogue.

Heritage Middle School is offering summer athletic camps this year. Registration is currently open for all our camps and are for students entering 5th grade, 6th grade, 7th grade, and 8th grade. Monday, the FDA expanded the emergency use of the Pfzier vaccine to children as young as 12. The federal vaccine advisory committee met on Wednesday to vote on the approval of the vaccine for children.

Postive Health Services will host a vaccination event at the Heritage/Graves complex, on May 19 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Appointments will need to be scheduled using the link below. A parent does need to come with a minor, to obtain the vaccination.
