The Mustang Minute
Week of March 28th
FROM THE PRINCIPALS' OFFICES
What a week it has been! We began our Forward State Testing in both buildings this past week. Although this can be a stressful time, our 3rd-8th grade students handled themselves with poise and class, buckling down to give their very best! Way to go, Mustangs...we are proud of you!
This week was also home to many after school and community events to include the third of our Referendum Q & A sessions, the BFO hosted School Board Candidate Q & A session, the Devices at Brookwood Tech Presentation, and the listening sessions for the new DA search! This week we also enjoyed our 7th and 8th Grade Choir and Band Concert at BMS. It was wonderful to see our students singing and playing. Congratulations to Mrs. Bullock and Mrs. Collins on another beautiful concert!
After a long and busy week, we can now turn our focus to a bit of rest and relaxation as Spring Break is now upon us! We hope you will all enjoy the nice weather and some extra time with your family and friends. We will look forward to continuing the final stretch of the school year and our regular activities when we return to school on April 4th.
Take care, Mustangs!
Mr. Braden and Mrs. Franz

Visit mystery.feastables.com for more information.
Pictured below are Jaxson (5th grade) and Tanner (4th grade) helping to unpack and distribute their delicious candy bars to our BMS students. Special thanks to our 7th grade volunteers who also helped with unpacking. Thank you so much, Thomas family, for hooking us up with such a cool opportunity!
Tornado and Severe Weather Awareness Week: April 4-8
Tornado and Severe Weather Awareness Week in Wisconsin will take place April 4-8. This annual campaign encourages everyone in the state of Wisconsin to prepare for the tornadoes
and severe storms the state frequently experiences during the spring and summer months.
So that all students and staff know what to do in the event of inclement weather, students at both BES and BMS will be participating in a severe weather drill on April 8th at approximately 1:45pm.
For more information on severe weather safety, visit the National Weather Service webpage at: www.weather.gov.
Stay safe, Mustangs!
Join us for Bing-Glo on April 8th!
BMS Clothes Closet
BMS Clothing Closet is a resource for our middle school students whose families might need a little extra help with clothing needs. If your family could benefit from gently used clothing for your middle school children, please reach out to Mrs.Garrett with questions or specific needs. Mrs. Garrett will have "open" shopping hours for students on Fridays during lunch/recess time in the art room beginning on April 8th.
The Golden Horseshoe Moves On....
The golden horseshoe has been passed to Mrs. Carey Denecke for her dedication and care to Brookwood Middle School staff, students, and families. Thank you, Carey for all of your hard work and kindness!

The end of our incredibly successful volleyball season and upcoming warm weather can only mean one thing... track season! Our track season starts April 19th and all 6th-8th graders are eligible to participate. If you have not done so already, dust off those running shoes and get outside for some training runs in preparation for the season. We look forward to seeing you on April 19th! If you have any questions about our upcoming track season, please contact Mr. Guth or Mr. Jagow.
