Berryton Families,

A Few things to share in this short but packed week:

• Wednesday- Wednesday, October 23rd has been deemed as School Transportation Appreciation Day. Please join me in showering our amazing bus drivers with appreciation.

• Assembly- I so enjoyed getting to see lots of you at our first quarter assembly. I love how our students present awards to their peers, and develop skills in public speaking and leadership at such an early age. I was able to get pictures of most of our students who received perfect attendance. We had over 28% of our students who didn't miss a single day of learning- way to go, Buffalos!

• Carnival- Huge shout out to everyone that assisted with our Carnival- I loved seeing all of the people that filled the halls to support our community! Thanks to everyone that brought in treats, and donated items. There were numerous nights that many PTO members worked long and hard hours making sure that every detail had been attended to for the carnival- you are appreciated!

• Conferences- We can't wait to see each of you this week for Parent Teacher Conferences. Nothing is more important than the partnership between the school and the family for each of our Buffalos. We can't wait to collaborate and share progress and results with each of you.

• Halloween- Next week we will celebrate Halloween including a school wide parade at 9:20. Ms. Tanya has sent out details and I have included them below.

Our Fall Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for:

Oct. 23 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Oct. 24 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Just a reminder that students can get a sandwich instead of the hot lunch option every day. Listed below is the sandwich types for each weekday:

• Monday and Friday- PB and J Whole Wheat Uncrustable
• Tuesday- Turkey
• Wednesday- Ham
• Thursday- Bologna

As an elementary principal I enjoy working collaboratively with staff members to support student learning. I am passionate about continuing to learn professionally, and building relationships with staff and students at Berryton Elementary. When I'm not serving at Berryton Elementary I am usually with my husband and two sons. We can be found at sporting events, cheering on Kansas State University, or just enjoying a movie at home.
