2022-2023 Welcome Back Newsletter

Welcome Raider Community,

I hope everyone is enjoying the last few weeks of summer and taking time to relax and spend time with family. We are currently working on the start of our 2022-2023 school year and are making all preparations for the return of all of our students

On behalf of the administration, faculty, and staff, I welcome you to a new school year. To those of you who are new to our community, I extend a special welcome from the Taft family. We wish you well as you enter a new school year and hope you will join efforts in providing our students with a quality educational and personal experience. We are proud of our staff and student body and have high expectations for all of us that participate in the educational process. William Howard Taft High School will be hosting PREP DAYS on August 10, 11 and 12. The Freshman and New Student Parent Informational meeting will be held on August 10. This process is designed to reduce confusion on the first days of school and save valuable instructional time. Prior to PREP DAYS, please review additional information provided in this packet, and bring appropriate completed forms as indicated.

Taft Prep Day Information

Prep days are designed so that our students receive their schedules, take ID pictures, verify address and contact information for your family, receive bus and cafeteria information, and ask any questions they may have from our administration team, counseling team, and/or teachers.

Taft Advanced Academic Boot Camp

All Taft students taking AP, Dual Credit and On Ramps courses are invited to attend this informational Boot Camp. Start the year prepared to succeed as you earn college credit! Come join the fun.
