
ACES Summer Bridge Program
July Update
Dear Parents,
We had a great first two weeks of our Summer Bridge program. Students were able to re-engage with academics, form new friendships, and participate in learning new material. Students are on a wide range of learning pathways as we differentiate instruction for students.
We will take a break next week for our program and see students upon our return July 10th.

July Schedule & Hours
Reminder! There will be no Summer Bridge next week due to the holiday.
Off week due to July 4th holiday
Week 3: July 10-14
Week 4: July 17-21
Summer Bridge instructional hours are from 8:35 - 12:00. Students can be dropped off as early as 8:10, but no earlier. Teachers are not on campus until 8:00.
Student dismissal is at 12:00 pm for those students not staying for lunch. If students stay for lunch (either ACES provided or brought from home) they are dismissed at 12:30.
*If your plans will change for July, please notify your child's teacher.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up Reminders
Students should be dropped off and picked up at the Middle School doors for the Summer Bridge program unless they participate in YMCA outside of the hours of 8:10 - 12:30.
Please enter for both arrival and dismissal at the far gate closest to the main entrance (the same gate used during the regular school year). This will allow us to form one long line of cars and get students in and out of cars more quickly. It will also provide a safer atmosphere for our car riders.
YMCA Aftercare and Camp Transition
Many of our students are attending both YMCA (camp or aftercare) in addition to Summer Bridge. Please notify your child's teacher of any changes in this routine for the remaining two weeks of the program in July. Please also complete the form below if you haven't already done so and your child will join camp or aftercare.

*NOTE: There is no aftercare or camp provided by ACES staff. If you wish for your student to enroll in aftercare, you must sign up on the Aventura City website here.
*If your student plans to attend the Friday field trips as part of their YMCA enrollment, please also communicate this with your child's teacher.
Optional Breakfast and Lunch
Optional free breakfast and lunch will be provided. Breakfast will be provided from 8:15 - 8:30 and lunch will be provided from 12:00 - 12:30. Please fill out the form below if you wish for your child to receive breakfast and/or lunch.
Uniforms and Snack
Student uniforms are not required. Please have your students wear close-toed shoes and bring a sweater or sweatshirt in case they are cold. Students will have a snack break at school and should bring a water bottle and snack each day.
Devices and Headphones
ACES will provide student devices for use over the Summer Bridge program while on campus. These devices will not travel home with them daily. Students should bring their own headphones from home.
If your student brings their cellphone, their cellphone will remain off and put away during the school day.
