Apply for the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Advisory Council
Monomoy is launching a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Advisory Council, which will advise the Superintendent and the School Committee, resulting in thoughtful actions that respond to the needs of all students, families, and staff. The goal is to create a school district in which all students feel like they belong, all students are successful, and demographics are no longer an indicator of success. SHARK SHOUTOUTS
- "I would like to give some "thanks" to both Cheri Armstrong and John Dickson, for providing our students with two amazing authentic learning opportunities. Cheri tackled her first Credit for Life fair, which provided our seniors with a "sneak peek" into the reality of adulthood. Students learned how to be fiscally responsible as they prepare for life after Monomoy. Secondly, John Dickson and the Political Action Club hosted a congressional debate, a pre-COVID tradition. Our students held integral roles in the process by writing the questions for the candidates and moderating the debate. It was easy to see why our social studies department is a state exemplar of civics in action!" - Principal Jennifer Police
"A huge thank you to Cape Cod Five, Mrs. Armstrong and all the volunteers who made Credit For Life possible. This is a great opportunity for the senior class to learn how to be fiscally responsible as they make plans for their next chapter!" -The Guidance Team
Credit for Life Fair
On Thursday, November 3, senior students participated in Credit for Life, a financial literacy fair, sponsored by Cape Cod 5. The fair provides students with a fun and engaging opportunity to discover the importance of their financial decisions and their planning for the future. This program would not have been possible without the generosity of those who volunteered their time and the support of local businesses providing generous donations to make this a memorable and exciting event for our students.
